Deedee has been practicing, studying and teaching various forms of yoga, meditation and energy awareness and body rolling for 29 years. She holds teaching certificates from the Sivananda group and Sandra Sammartino for yoga and Leyline Associates for meditation instruction and energy awareness and Yamuna Zake in body rolling. Her style is meditative with a focus on breath, energy awareness, flow and healing.
Deedee has had a breast cancer resulting in a total of six surgeries including a mastectomy and reconstruction. She worked through the physical and emotional recovery effectively with the support of body rolling, yoga and meditation. She has also had success in supporting others in their recovery. Sophie Leevers B.F.A

Sophie has been practicing and exploring various styles of yoga asana and philosophies the past 10 years. Sophie has just finished her classical eight limbed Ashtanga and Hatha yoga teachers training at the Salt Spring Center for Yoga. She has also been influenced and taught throughout her
life by her mom, Deedee, who has been teaching and practicing Yoga and
meditation since the 70's. Sophie creatively, and enthusiastically weaves these experiences together to bring a flowing, strengthening, sequence of movements with breath, in the goal of sharing the experience of triputi, (to unify body, breath and spirit) for a rich and juicy yogic experience.

Saskia's background is in Rehabilitation Medicine, trained as an Occupational therapist. She has for many years participated in forms of explorative dance and movement therapies as well as yoga. Her greatest inspiration coming from "Continuum". She runs a Somatic Counseling and Massage Practise and is a Certified Body Rolling Teacher. She is committed to working with people in their quest for health and wellness.
Matthew Coleman

Matthew Coleman, has been teaching meditation and yoga for 33 years in B.C. as well as Florida, Hawaii and California. As the Buddhist representative for the Salt Spring Island Interfaith Council he has kept his perspective on religions open while furthering the teachings of Buddhism. He has studied with teachers of all four Tibetan Buddhist linages including Kalu Rinpoche, the Dalai Lama and many others. He attended the first two invitational Conferences for Western Buddhist Teachers in San Francisco, CA. He is also a poet and is published in the book East Meets West edited by Susan Suntree. He has resided on Salt Spring for 30 years.
